Car/Van Rental in St. Thomas
 

I need a van (or car) for 4 adults & 2 teens for 10 days starting July 10. I've been quoted $95/day by Budget -- this seems excessive. In Barbados the same thing ran $54/day and that's an expensive island.

Any suggestions? We could get 2 cars if pricing is better. I'm hoping someone can suggest a good company I can contact for a better price than $95/day. We'll be there starting July 10 and leave on July 20.

My wife and I had a bad experience with Budget on St. Thomas when we found out the hard way that they do not have emergency road service on weekends or after business hours. A lot of people rent from Dependable Car rental on STT. Good luck.

Our son lives in STT. We ALWAYS rent from Dependable. Great people and great service.

We just rented from Dependable a few weeks ago. I'd recommend them, they offer a discount of 12% if you mention you found them on the net. We paid $90 for a one day rental. They picked us up from the ferry dock and dropped us off at the airport for free. Taxi rates in St thomas add up quickly, so you'll be better off renting even with the high rates.
