Car or Jeep om St. John
Do you need a jeep in St. John to get around, rather than just a car? If we rent from St. Thomas, a car is much cheaper than renting in St. John, where only jeeps are available. Thanks.

We rented a jeep when we were in St. John. However, I think you'd be be fine with a car. The roads to the beautiful beaches are paved, except for one beach if my memory serves me correctly. It was a bit bumpy to get to that last beach but I think you'd still be fine with a car. Hopefully someone who actually rented a car can tell you their experience.

I also agree you need a jeep. When driving in St John here are a few cautions. Take corners slow...I pulled around a corner to see the road blocked by sheep goats and mules just sitting there! Also the steering wheel is on the the left side but you drive on the left as well...a little confusing but managable. Good luck
