Cap Juluca breakfast

What is served at Cap Juluca for breakfast?

Do any of the restaurants serve breakfast?

Karen Jan 23rd, 2002 04:50 PM

The included co breakfast served on your balcony at the time requested includes fresh fruits. juice, wonderful pastries warmed and beverage (coffee, tea, etc). You can suppliment that with anything from the room service menu for a full breakfast. Truthfully I didn't even notice if either Pimm's or George's serves breakfast!

If you supplement the continental breakfast with something from room service (for full breakfast), is there an extra charge?

Karen Jan 23rd, 2002 07:32 PM

No, anything ordered from the room service menu is a la carte. Sorry but I don't know the price range. Glanced at it but didn't do it ... was always too full from dinner the nite before!

Sorry, "a la carte"?
what does that mean? Does that mean
you pay for the full breakfast or it is free as a substitution?

Thanks.

Karen Jan 24th, 2002 10:52 AM

That means if you want eggs, for examle, that would be xx$$ charged for the eggs; xxx for French toast, etc - whatever you order. Each entree or item would be priced accordingly. Cap also adds on a 15% charge for room service in addition to the food. There is no charge for the co breakfast as they are prepared in the small service kitchen in each villa so it is not room service and is included.
Everyone raves about breakfast at Tasty's so it might be an alternate if you get up early and want a later full breakfast in addition to the co breakfast.
When Penny returns she would be able to clairfy if there is breakfast at either Pimm's or more likely George's. I just didn't even notice!

In my honest opinion (and what Karen is probably trying to say), if the menu is
"a la carte" you're going to pay quite a high price for breakfast at Cap ("a la carte" meaning you pay for each item separately). Her recommendation of "Tasty's" Restaurant is a good one...reasonable prices and great food, although not scenic. But if you eat at Cap, you're paying for that scenery dearly.

I was looking today at restaurants in Anguilla for breakfast and I included Tasty's on the list of places to go.
Thanks for the recommendation, now I will definitely go.

Can the guests use the service kitchens in each villa for their own cooking purposes?

Thanks.
Karen Jan 24th, 2002 05:12 PM

no, it is a service area that the staff work out of. Thanks, anon, not very good at descriptions! I did do the room service one nite for dinner and it was delightful on the balcony. Prices were not inconsistent with prices at the restaurants and pretty much in the same range - I didn't notice a huge difference but they are not inexpensive.
I know everyone loves Uncle Ernies and the ribs, etc. I don't recommend them. Have other questions? You will love Cap I am sure! I sure did!

George's has a full breakfast service each morning.
Enjoy Cap. It's wonderful!
