Cap Juluca / Anguilla in August?

I'm spending ten days at Cap Juluca in August. Will it be too unbearably hot? Also, would appreciate input on the quality/quantity of the room-delivered continental breakfast at Cap Juluca. Any tips or other info welcome, too. Many thanks.

Kat the breakfast is wonderful! It is served on your terrace or patio. The villa maids will set up the table etc. for you. It always has a large plate of fresh cut up fruit (done in the villas kitchen), a basket of bagels, muffins, banana bread, english muffins, assorted jellies, and juice, plus coffee or tea. Very generous amount for a continential breakfast. I have never been on the island in August, I am told it is very nice, no matter what time of year the sun is hot, hot, hot-except on the beach. Maundays Bay gets a nice tradewind!

We were at Cuisinart last July. Anguilla seems to have nice trade winds and was much more comfortable than back home in the US. It is warm, but not unbearably so....

rooms are great, beach is so-so, faces south. did you look into Malliohana? we checked it out and felt that the beach there was superiour to cap juluca. Blanchard's restaurant near Mall. was very good. we had difficulty with connections to and from san juan, which is definitely better than the five minute $45 flight from anguilla to st martin. have a great trip, and we hope that hurricane season is kind to you. McG.
