Caneel Bay with little kids - How?

I keep seeing wonderful reviews about Caneel Bay Resort being a great place to take your kids. We have three children (7 and under), two of which take naps. We are used to staying in two-bedroom villas, so we are not "held hostage" while they nap. Are any of their suites one or two-bedroom? How are all these other families making this work? Thanks for your help.

They have ajoining rooms only based on our 8-9 visuts with the last in 2008 or 09. But, if you can get a room in Cottage #&, the most expensive rooms and mostly on request only, if you ask for rooms C,D, or E the size of the rooms are twice+ their regular rooms. I am not sure that would be my first choice though it would be more economical if they allow 4 in the room. They would have to bring in a day bed. the views from those three rooms are also very special.

Caneel does have at least two rooms where there are two bedrooms, and the living room. They're in courtside, across from the fitness center and are the end units (sorry but I can't remember the numbers). The second bedroom is very small (just fits a twin bed) but the kids could nap in the main bedroom and that would leave you with the living room for the non-napping family. One thing to remember about Caneel is that there are restrictions about the beaches where you can go with little kids.

Hi, maybe this will help you if it's not too late! We travelled with our daughter to Caneel a few times when she was young, and man, was she a napper! We booked a beachfront room and brought our baby monitor. During naptime, we sat on our porch or the beach and our child was in the room. The beachfront rooms at Caneel are *right there*.

LaraJ, What beach/room did you stay on where you were allowed to have a baby? I was under the impression children were only allowed on caneel beach so therefore they couldn't stay in beachfront rooms...

Children are allowed on all beaches, in high season. Caneel has a list of those dates on their website.

Caneel Beach has beachfront rooms. A whole stretch of them, in one story building.

Our room was beachfront off Little Caneel. Never saw anyone on the beach for an entire week. There are steps going down to the beach though, unlike the beachfront rooms on Caneel Beach.
