Caneel Bay Rooms with a View?

My husband and I will be celebrating our 35th anniversary in October at Caneel Bay. Could you recommend specific numbers for rooms with the best views on Hawksnest or Turtle Beaches? Also, which rooms at Cottage 7 - A,B,C,D,E, or F have the nicest view? Does 7A have a view at all? Thanks for your help.

Are you asking what to request for an "upgrade" once you arrive at Caneel, or are you planning to change the room category that you have requested ?

xkenx has given you helpful advice on another post.

If you have a specific room/category in mind, I'd advise you to book what you want, rather than hope for an upgrade.

Less stress...more fun in looking forward to your trip

Happy Anniversary !

Sorry if my reply to this post was confusing.

But you have several different posts here about rooms at Caneel Bay.

I'm confused about what you're asking....but I'm often confused these days ;-)

Since all rooms at Hawksnest are very close to the water, they all have very good views; however, in my opinion, because of the additional height, upstairs rooms, give the best an more panoramic view.

I cannot remember which of the Cottage 7 rooms have the best view, but there definitely is a difference. Reservationist should prove helpful if you say that you want one with the closest/best view of the ocean.

Cttage #7 is perfect but it is only "on request". You Must say EXCEPT rooms A and B but C, D, E, and F have lovely views and the rooms are 1/3rd larger though furnished in Caneel tradition, vquite basic.
As your back-up someone mentioned Hawks Nest and I would agree but on the second floor. Turtle Bay (secon floor) also is nice but can be a very little bit noisier because it is near the dining room but not a "real" problem.
We have stayed in all 3 but Cottage #7 even with the price premium for 5-7 full days would be lovely.Good Luck.
I generally used to call directly to the resort/reservations on St, John to remind them of my request for Cottage #7. If you can arrive at the resort by 3-4Pm that also helps since a number of guest request Cottage #7. Good Luck.
