Why do I always see great packages to Cancun for $400 rt and hotel and then when I try to use FF miles , the hotels are all over $200 a night????

I thought Cancun was relatively cheap?

Right now there are $330+ airfares and two really nice hotels in Cancun - Camino Real and Intercontinental Presidente are having room rates of $89 and $115 per night.
Check travelocity and expedia...

i'm looking for the late may/early june timeframe

Still off-season and should have no problem finding cheap flights and rooms.
Wait until a little closer. The Caribbean flights and rooms go on sale for 30 to 50% off in March and April...
