Cancun or somewhere else
Hi everyone,
My husband and I are looking to take a 4 day trip in late March through early April.
We are considering Cancun, but are wondering if this is a bad time because of the spring break crowds? Also wondering about Bermuda, but is it too cold this time of year?
We are both 30 years old and looking for a place with nice beaches, good food, a little sightseeing and some low-key nightlife. We are travelling out of NYC and would like to take a nonstop flight (being that it is a short trip.)
We are NOT interested in the following - Bahamas, Aruba, Puerto Rico (been there already) Jamaica, or the Dominican Republic.
I am open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
I strongly suggest not to go to Cancun in March, April or late May for that matter. I made the mistake of going in late May once, and it seemed like every high school kid in the US received a trip to Cancun as a graduation present. I witnessed several passed out drunk kids around bars and on the bus. If this does not bother you, then go for it. I personnaly would prefer to go somewhere less crowded w/ teenagers at that time of year.

If you only have 4 days, the Cancun area is a good suggestion becasue it is less than 2 1/2 hours nonstop from Newark. I would suggest the Royal Hideaway in the Playacar area or Hotel Maroma (even closer to the airport) but smaller. Both are luxurious and there won't be any spring breakers at either. Cozumel is beautiful, but there aren't any luxury resorts there. Also you must transfer in Cansun and you are adding AT LEAST another hour to your trip. Good luck.

Spring break time in Cancun and not very relaxing. Go a bit further south to Playa del Carmen or stay in the area but avoid the drunken crowds that flock to Cancun. Even makes the flights crazy with the loud drunken partiers so go upfront if you can.
