Cancun? Moon Palace?
How is this resort? How is the beach? This is our 2nd vacation this year and are lookig not to spend a lot, we were recently at Sandals Antigua for 2 weeks. WE found a very good deal here.

The beach isn't as nice here, but the Palace resorts let you go to their other hotels to use their facilities. You may want to look at Playa del Carmen for better deals and absolutely gorgeous beach, laid back small town, easy access to Cozumel for a day trip, also to Tulum. I've got friends who did Moon Palace last fall and had a terrific time -- the resort is lovely and facilities great, but the beach is not a "prime" draw.

Where in Playa del Carmen is the beach nice? Is one of the other Palace resorts better Beach)? <BR>

We would also recomment Playa del Carmen. There is a youth hostel in town if you really want to save money. It is the ferry port to Cozumel. Two great day trips are Xel-ha, a natural water park where you swim and snorkel with the fish, float down a river, jump off cliffs into the water. Everyone on our RV Caravan had a marvelous day here. Xcaret is also a full day being exposed to all the Mexican culture...ancient ball games, folkloric singing at night(we went twice to this one), snorkeling an underground groto, horse show, etc. etc. So much fun. Between beaches(Cozomel, both this centers, and Playa del Carmen) turtle nesting grounds, and ruins Tulum; this would be my #1 pick after 60 days in Mexico. We are going back next year so I want to see if anything can beat this area. Next year we will see San Cabos, Copper Canyon, Puerto Vallarta on our own.

Thank you for the info! What about the Allegro Carribean Village? How is the beach? Or the Melia? #1 concern is can we go swimming in the ocean?
