Can anyone recommend a romantic, quiet getaway under $3,000 for a honeymoon?

I am looking for suggestions on a possible honeymoon on one of the caribbean islands for under $3,000. I want to stay six days. My future husband and I want a quiet getaway yet we also want to be able to sometimes get out for a good evening on the town. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

Look at a package on Tortola at http://www.frenchmans.com. If you only want 6 nights, you will still be ahead with a 7 night package. To save a little more look at http://cooper-island.com. The only trouble here is that there is that it is not easy to have a night on the town but you can learn to dive and leave on a dive boat directly from the island. The rooms are a little more basic but it is a fun island due to all of the visiting yachts. Also the food is good. You can have a continental breakfast delivered to your room at the hour you set.

I'd recommend Rock House in Negril Jamaica. It is on the cliffs, very quiet, very private, very romantic. Negril has some fun places to eat and hear music at night, too. www.rockhousehotel.com

We got married last year on St. Croix and we enjoyed it very much. The Buccanneer is a reaaly quaint nice hotel and I think the prices that time of year are pretty reasonable(includes a full breakfast) I know that they have a honeymoon package available. I would definitely splurge on an oceanfront room
These room are directly on the beach with a nice sitting area. One thing about St. Croix is that it easy to get to. Many of the islands require at least 2 or more flights (depending where you live)and St. Croix is pretty convenient. If you have anymore questions please feel free to email me.

Kellyvilla at Seafeathers Bay, Anguilla is a beautiful oceanview 2bedroom/2bath villa that's moderately priced. In-Season $2270.00. Off-Season $1270.00. Email for full details and visit http://www.quikpage.com/K/kellyvilla for pictures.

Grenada - just returned - enjoyed it more than St. Martin, Bermuda, Bahamas & Venezeula; even w/Aruba. I would recommend the Renaissaince about $195 per night for a double w/o meals, airfare is about $750. from Boston. A smaller more european, private, hotel is the Mahogany Run/Mimosa (same location-same owner) gorgeous beach, but very secluded. Not much to do in Grenada night life, not much shopping, but a beautiful island and friendly.

Consider Barrymore Beach Club, Runaway Bay, Antigua. Presuming you are coming off-season a beach-front one-bedroom apartment is US$135.00 per night (includes, patio, living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. All apartments were fully refurbished very recently. Very quiet and relaxing setting, with beach bar/restaurant on premises. For more sophisticated dining there are 7 other restaurants within walking distance, plus a casino.

Recently a woman I work with bought a trip from ONSALE.com in their vacation auction section. They went to Mexico, and I believe, at a very reasonable price. She told me they had to watch for several weeks, but they finally got a good bargain. Try it. I hope it helps.
