Calm Water Snorkeling-February

Which island is best for Feb. snorkeling? I know there are no guarantees. Love Culebra, but have had too many trips with rough water in Feb/March.

We found St John to have good, calm snorkling in Feb. Many of the bays are sheltered too.

Another vote for St. John.

A third vote for St. John. Note, that on St. John there is snorkeling on both sides of the island. If it's windy on the North shore, sites on the Southeast such as Salt Pond and Little Lameshur should be calm.

Thanks all. We stayed at Maho Bay several times in the 80's; may consider St John; where to stay??? Have been to Anguilla, Antigua, Bermuda, Caymans, Culebra, St Kitts, St Lucia.

singerlady, Feb is high season in STJ, so you may need to make plans well in advance. I'm not big on the resorts there, although some here swear by 'em. I'd check out Gallows Point, & Lavander Hill Suites as options in Cruz Bay, or if you'd consider renting a villa, check out the listings on www.stjohnlinks.com or via vrbo...
