Calling US from Bermuda

I am planning a trip to Bermuda and I am interested in knowing if anyone purchased calling cards in the US for use in Bermuda or if there is a better way to call home.

Thank you.

Buy a calling card in Bermuda. They are available in grocery and liquor stores and the wireless shop.

Thanks for your reply. Do you or anyone else have any idea of the cost of these calling cards and/or cost per minute. Also, is there a charge for use of payphones? If so, how much?

I usually buy a ten dollar card and call home (to USA) several times during the week I am there. I use them from my hotel phone and pay phones with no difficulty. There have been no separate charges if I use a pay phone. They are very convenient.

PS, have a wonderful trip to my favorite place in the world.

How about using a Verizon cell phone. Any info on this would be helpful -- will be there in September.
