Cab from Princess Juliana Airport
 

My wife and I are going to St. Maartin in December. Does anyone know what the cost of a cab from the airport to the Sea Palace (downtown Phillipsburg) costs?

I usually rent a car when there, but I'm thinking that would be between $15 and $20.

Since this is our first time in St. Maarten, any suggestions? We will only be there one week.

I have been to St Maarten 3 times. Most of this time was spent in Simpson Bay which is near the airport. I recommend renting a car. The last 2 times I used Prestige Value Car Rental which is very near the airport. You could rent directly from the airport (which was recently renovated). Phillipsburg is a busy area but if you plan to explore (and I sugggest you do)car rental is the cheapest way to go.

I would never go to St. Maarten without renting a car. You'll want to see the island, and the best beaches are not in Phillipsburg. (Assuming you have parking for your hotel ... if not, that could be a problem.)

Definitely rent a car. I go a few times a year and learned 14 years ago how difficult it is NOT to have a car there.

I've rented from pretty much all the agencies and have stuck with Best Deal for years now.
