Bucuti or???? for Honeymoon

We are planning a honeymoon for early November and are interested in a romantic no kids hotel. We are currently considering the Bucuti and have never been to Aruba. Any comments or suggestions? Do they offer AI? Should we even consider an AI?

We have traveled to Aruba several times and have visited the Bucuti in the lo-rise section but have not stayed there and we have found it to be the quietest. The beach is beautiful and the staff is very nice. There is only one restaurant that I saw at the Bucuti so A-I would not be a good idea if offered. There are so many fantastic restaurants in Aruba for you to enjoy and it is fun to try different dining spots. Restaurants like Pasion Bodega, Chalet Suisse, Flying Fishbone on the beach etc.
We normally rent a car for mobility but there is a bus and taxis are available.
We stayed at the Radisson and we had a great time. Good location being walking distance to several restaurants and all hotels in hi-rise area connected by a long walkway by the beach. Resort is very romantic with plush landscaping, waterfalls, several pools etc. Staff very friendly. Again, some families were at the resort as well as at all hotels so if that is a problem you should stay at the Bucuti.

Definitely the Bucuti! Very quiet, almost no kids (and the few we saw there were so quiet as to be unnoticeable), wonderful location on a huge beach as noted by Maureen. For a really romantic dinner you can reserve a table on the beach at Bucuti's restaurant the Pirate's Nest.
I would also advise against AI - Bucuti has a dine-around plan where you can buy vouchers which you can use at 11 different restaurants. Or just choose for yourself - there are so many wonderful places. One restaurant we liked very much, within close walking distance of Bucuti, was Le Dome. Enjoy!

There are no hotels that are adults only in Aruba. But Bucuti comes the closest as it does not have a children's program so rarely do you see children. This is not a fancy hotel but the beach is to die for and the service and attentiveness is excellent.

They don't have all-inclusive but I think they may have a meal plan. Unless you are big drinkers there really is no need for all-inclusive in Aruba as there are so many wonderful restaurants in all price ranges.

We go to Aruba twice a year and I can recommend the agency we use as they specialize in Aruba and have really good rates and service.

The Bucuti is an excellent choice if you don't mind a small, fairly simple hotel. Radisson and Hyatt are much bigger with nicer pools.

The beach in front of the Bucuti and Manchebo is the island's best, in my opinion.

Aruba is the last place I would do all-inclusive because there are many good restaurants and it's easy to get around.

There shouldn't be too many kids about in early November, esp. at the Bucuti. Late-season hurricanes are possible in Nov. so the southernmost Caribbean is a good choice.

If you want a true "adults-only" resort you'll need to look at a different island.

I just planned a trip to Aruba and was all ready to book the Bucuti. On their website there is a note that construction will begin on new suites, beginning May 13 and continuting through December. Just wanted to let you know. If you go to the site look under accomodations, new Tara wing suites.

You might want to consider the Costa Linda Beach Resort also. It is right beside the Bucuti and shares the most gorgeous beach in Aruba. I've been there quite a few times and have never been bothered by small children. The palapas on the beach are quite apart from one another so you can hardly hear the other people speaking in the palapa beside yours. This is a fancier hotel than the Bucuti. The rooms are just great and have a fantastic view of the ocean and the beach. It's actually a resort but I think they also take hotel reservations. Probably more expensive than Bucuti but quite worthwhile if you're going on your honeymoon. They're web site is www.costalinda-aruba.com.. check it out.

I agree with Paulie that the Costa Linda is a nice resort, especially the rooms. But we stayed at Bucuti (not a kid in sight) and visited the Costa Linda almost daily, and there were kids all over the place whenever we were there. The rooms at Bucuti are far from romantic (especially the bathrooms - Motel 6 anyone?) but the resort feels so special and romantic that you may not mind. As far as AI - my mom & dad did AI several years ago and loved it, so if it's important to you to not have to think about where to go each night, do it. But there are many terrific restaurants within a few minutes by taxi from Eagle Beach.

Go with the Radsioon or Hyatt...both excellent resorts on a beautiful beach.. Definitely stay away from the Wyndhgam as it is adjacent to the public beach and there are swarms of kids on certain days.

We checked out the high-rise area and felt there was no comparison between there and Eagle Beach (Bucuti). The no-kids thing was a big plus for us at Bucuti, too. But I want to reiterate that if it's your honeymoon, you might want to go for a nicer room than what Bucuti offers now (Tara suites won't be ready till next year). We reserved a bungalow (considered their best accommodations) and when we saw it we switched to a regular beachfront room even though it had two separate beds. The rooms at Bucuti are not romantic and have a motel feel. But they are very clean and adequate, and the hotel is very eco-conscious with absolutely top-notch service. That plus the amazing beach made up for the room. There were PLENTY of honeymooners when we were there, and judging from all the do-not-disturb signs in the middle of the day, the rooms were not much of a problem.

KeyGal said it all - no comparison between the beach at the high-rises and the beach at Bucuti. We stayed at Bucuti last February and loved the atmosphere - very quiet, and indeed no or very few kids. And no, the rooms are not luxurious, but they are clean and spacious - and how much time do you want to spend inside your room anyway? We loved it that our (standard, garden-view) room was on the ground floor with a patio facing the garden and a big tree with lots of birds and iguana's.
