bring back organized categories

This new format is disorganized. How do I search for particular islands I want to visit? I typed in Bahamas into the box above "search tips" and got an old message dating two weeks ago(3/10/01). Bring back the clear and concise list of separate caribbean islands, and not a big hodge-podge. Thank you, Robert

I agree 100%, old format was much better.

I disagree! I like it! Maybe the one you pulled up was the last one posted! It worked terrific for me when I used several diffent islands! Maybe you miss the scroll down for islands! I especially like where you can jump all the way to the the last post rather than scrolling thru all the posts! But the screen is a wee bit "cluttered" with all these little buttons ... I know that I had trouble emailing the thread but guess it'll take some time to undo any glitches and get used to it!

I've found that the board I most visit, the BVI, receives so few postings that a week can go by with nothing. In this new format, I find that it pulls in some other general postings that I'm able to respond to, therefore it enlivens things. For that, I like the new format.
On the other hand, over on the European board, squeezing all of Europe onto one board doesn't seem to make good sense. It's one thing to put a bunch of tiny islands together where any one island only gets a handful of postings a week, it's another thing to cram hundreds of postings just on, say, France or Italy into one board with 20 or so other big countries. It's a mess.

I agree - with old format I could find the island I want - this takes too long and I won't use the site as frequently.

Something has to be done. The second message I get when trying to find Bahamas information is dated in 1997. That's ludicrous, and when I try to order them by date it takes me back to the total list of messages. I'll use other boards to help folks if something isn't done to make this a little easier to order posts. I have better things to do than spend time trying to figure this mess out.

Danny

Once again, the last Bahamas message I pulled was not the last one posted; believe it or not, outdated(by a week Bahama posts) came up before more recent Bahama posts. Some one above mentioned you can still plug in specific caribbean islands on this new format, and get the information on that specific island only. Please explain in detail how this can be done. Thank you in advance. Robert

Once you've done a search, above the threads is SORT: - try clicking on date. This will sort the search results by the most recent posts. Hope this helps!

That does NOT work on my desktop, which is very new, very robust and contains all the latest software. When I search, say, on the Bahamas, and than sort it by date I get thrown back to the entire message board.

Danny

Maybe the answer is to improve the search function. So many posts (esp for the Bahamas) mention particular islands & the word Bahamas never appears in the post.

Looks nice, moves faster (so far) but I agree needs tweaking.

It wasn't broke, why did you "fix" it? Please change it back! This was one of the best formats on the net but it sure isn't now.
