Bonefishing Great Exuma

We are going to Great Exuma in 5 weeks. My husband would love to go Bonefishing, but might not have the right fishing equipment. It looks like guides don't provide the equipment. Is there a place to rent equipment there? Any recommendations on good guides?
Any help is appreciated!

We just returned from the Exumas. Although we didn't bonefish while we were there, we were thinking about it.

After arriving, we inquired about guides and equipment.....everyone knew someone that guided, and it seemed like all the cab drivers were all bonefishing guides as well :-). Don't sweat it, once you get down there, ask around and you will have no problem.

Thanks so much! Did you have a great time, SavTrav?

Oh my gosh yes! We stayed at the St. Francis Resort (on Stocking Island) which is wonderful. It's a great place to have lunch or dinner. You can rent a boat at Minn's in Georgetown, or you can pick up Elvis's water taxi at the main dock in Georgetown - he will take you over.

It's a place where you have to do a little exploring, and talking to the locals. The local people are the nicest folks I've run into in a very long time. When we were there the beaches were practically deserted, pick a spot and hang out all day!

You will have a wonderful and relaxing time, I'm already scheming on how to get back sooner rather than later.
