Bolongo Bay

I continue to hear about the food & fun at Iggie's at the Bolongo Bay Resort. Is the main restaurant, The Beach House, equally as good? Money is not a big issue since we enjoy beautiful & gourmet cuisine.

YOOHOO!
Anyone know anything here? Also, I am not hearing many reports about the resort lately. They have to be kidding! I know people who have stayed there report that it's fun and very relaxing.
We plan to be there for Super Bowl Sunday...to watch the Eagles win! Anyone else?

We stayed at Bolongo Bay in February of 2002. At that time it was in need of a complete renovation. Don't know if it has had one once or not. It is an old property. We ate at the Beach House a few times and had good meals. Iggie's is more casual with light meals. Ate there once. When we were there it was a local hangout and a lot of nights they had loud blaring music you could hear a mile away. Neither would be considered gourmet. The Beach House has a nice setting looking out over the Bay.

Hi,

The Beach House is a nice restaurant......not necessarily what I would consider to be a "gourmet" place though. There are other choices in CA, frenchtown and on the north side that would better be described as "gourmet" type places.
