Blue Bay Village-Thumbs Up Or Down?

Tell me, how is the (all inclusive) Blue Bay Village in St. Martin? Appears to look OK in the travel guides. Any and all feeback is greatly welcomed re this hotel property. Thanks.

A freind of ours stayed there over Christmas time. The resort was ok, but not one they would return to. Bad food, spent a lot of $$$ at the restaurants in town... they loved St.Maartens though and said if they returned they would stay on the dutch side. Thats about all I know.

I prefer the French side of the island, but I would NEVER go to an all-inclusive on St. Martin/St.Maarten. Rent a car no matter where you stay, as it is an easy island to get around. The restaurants on the French side are extraordinary. Our favorite was L'Alabama in Grand Case.

Where would you stay in st. Martin (dutch side)? We are looking at Oyster Bay or Divi. How are the beaches?

I stayed at Blue Bay in November of 1999 for 7 days and I am planning a trip back for this November. Had a great time. I feel that it is well worth the money and very safe. If you are looking for something fancy then this place is not for you but if you want to go to a nice place for a relaxing vacation then this place is for you.
