Biras Creek or Nail Bay

OK. I have narrowed my search down to Biras Creek and Nail Bay. Biras Creek is A LOT more expensive but is it worth it compared to Nail Bay?

Any information on either of these resorts would be great - a lot of the info on here is fairly old (2004).

THX

Was on VG recently (at LD). Went over to Nail Bay and Biras for part of the day. Would not even consider a stay at Nail (too remote, not terrifically handsome or varied). Biras is much better bet imo.

Thank you for your replies. I am still confused however! I think for only being on the island a couple of days (4 nights) Nail Bay is too remote and Biras Creek is too expensive to get the most out of all the activities. I may have to switch to a different island...like Tortola, where we won't have to worry about buying groceries, etc.

If you want VG, have you tried Guavaberry? There's lots and lots of info on Fodor's (and Trip Advisor, no doubt). Many people love the place-- and grocery shopping seems very easy there. Also, MUCH less expensive than Biras.

Try staying at one of the villas on Mahoe Bay . Grocery shopping is reasonable . Or check out the villas at Leverick Bay . There is restaraunts right at the bottom of the Hill.... Also a little breakfast area . Mahoe Bay has a beautiful beach . I think Leverick is less expensive . Biras Creek is great to visit while you are there , But it is not easy to get to the rest of the island.

How is Leverick Bay? That may be the answer I am looking for...however, on tripadviser, there are mixed reviews.

Leverick Bay is nice though it does not have its own beach like Mahoe Bay . You would enjoy it though . It is pretty and has some nice villas .

I would definately recommend Mahoe over Leverick. When I was researching for villas on VG I almost booked one on Leverick (it was a bit cheaper than Mahoe) however I was so glad we ended up staying on Mahoe. I saw a small beach area at Leverick. Does not compare to the beach at Mahoe. Also Savannah beach is 1/4 mile from Mahoe bay villas. I agee with Poss, if not Mahoe try Guavaberry (less exp than Mahoe) because the beach there is very nice also.
