Best time of year in Bahamas?

Greetings!
Our family is planning a trip to Atlantis next year. But when? The rates go down in June; is it very hot and humid then? I've been to the Bahamas in February and it was COLD! When does the water warm-up for swimming and snorkeling? What would you say about March or April? Thanks for tips or input!

As far as the weather goes and water temps, I think May and June are the best times.

Beth, According to statistics, April and May have the least rainfall. The temps are pretty mild, but rain is more frequent as the year goes on.

We were in Nassau in December and in May and the former was cool, while the latter was ideal.

Have been to Atlantis several times in July. It is hot and humid, but not horrible. We have always experienced good weather--just an occasional late afternoon shower.
