Best restaurant on Grand Cayman

Cassanova's in Georgetown - no contest. Nothing else come close to the combination of good food and atmosphere. This was our 4th trip and they are their 3rd location and have yet to miss a beat.

Blue by Eric Ripert (in the Ritz-Carlton), if you can afford it. One of the best restaurants in the entire Caribbean.

Doug, having eaten at Blue several times, and also having wide experience of many other restaurants, I'd have to disagree.

Food at Blue is excellent indeed, but so is the price (high), the ambience is... well, bland, and the service is learned by rote.

Absolutely zero Caribbean flavour.

Now, the prior recommendation of Casanova's comes from the opposite end. Basically pretty standard Italian food, ok but not extraordinary, but fantastic and idiosyncratic service and great ambience.

However, neither would make my top 5, and in reality I can't name one, but depending on my mood (and feel for food quality / service / ambience) all of these could qualify :
- Papagallo
- Bacchus
- Brasserie
- Grand Old house
- Roland's Garden
- Mezza

Of course we all have our opinions

I agree about Casanova's. The mere mention of them for me is like spending the day at a spa for other people. Is is lunchtime yet?

The Reef Grill is by far our favorite on GC. After two trips we've have yet to try Cassanova's, but we will on our next visit.
