Best Place To Go

Me and a good friend of mine (we are 22 and 23) are looking for the best place to go for people our age. We are looking for somewhere where it has the best of both worlds. A place that has a nightlife wiht kids our age but somewhere where we can get away and chill out if we want to. Nothing to young and nothing too old. What do you suggest?...

Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Puerta Vallarta

i just can't see vacationing in cancun. it seems to just be a city by a really good beach.
playa del carman might be fun.
my first thought was jamaica.

however- things like where you're coming from, your resort budget & what you want to do besides party and chill. some islands are fairly expensive (provo, caymans) others seem to be less expensive ( mex, dom. rep.); some have good diving/snorkeling some have golf, or gambling, or: horseback, zip-lines, hiking, etc. some places safer than others. tell us the activities you would like.

also how do you feel about all-inclusive vs. normal resort?

Negril, Jamaica. Lots of kids your age, gorgeous seven mile white sand beach, small cheap cliffside restaurants and bars, lots of coves, fishing, many places where you can escape the crowds.

there is really no preference about what activities we do...in regards to all inclusive vs. hotel i have no problem doing all inclusive but I like to explore and go to local restaurants but that can get expensive...i think more important is the nightlife, we like to go to bars and chill and talk rather than dance and do the club thing...ourr budget is around 2000 so let me see what you think.

p.s. were coming from ohio and im not too worried about activities, but i would like to at least do some snorkeling maybe some jet skiing etc., but more important is the nightlife, bars are more our style (conversation and a good beer not dancing and clubbing)

Can I jump on with this question too? I'm 27 and my brother is 29, we are looking for the same thing to escape NY this winter. My brother is getting a divorce so i'm taking him away for some R&R but we obviously do not want to go somewhere romantic but rather where we can have fun.

I'd love suggestions! We have miles for plane tickets, so just need a hotel.

Cancun and Aruba if you are on the budget-minded side. Cancun definitely still have the party atmosphere but from what I had read they are going through a transformation from a traditional Spring Bread destination to a more "adult-friendly" place. Lots of places to go drinking and partying.

Aruba is a little more laid back but they have casinos if that is your thing.

If you want to go a little more upscale, then go to St. Barts or St. Martin. Definitely more European which means more places open late..

All the destinations will have nice beaches.
