Best place in Caribbean for Feb vacation
We're planning a vacation in February, 2001. Two adults, two teens. We love clean, safe beaches, snorkeling and relaxing atmosphere, but have never been to the Caribbean. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

I havn't been to Grand Cayman but here it is nice; however, my favorite laid-bakc, charming, beautiful beach location in the carribbean is the British Virgin Islands. Not at all over run by tourists as many islands are and safe, clean and you are able to ferry over to different islands every day if you'd like....they are very close together and all have great beaches. Try Tortola, Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke if you want to see a caribbean island like other islands were 50 years ago! Some of these islands just got electricity a few years ago!

Weather temps in the 80's are perfect for air temp. Margo's looking for snorkeling. Really depends alot on night time air temp. The cooler the evenings, the chillier the water. Last time I was in the Bahamas at Christmas, days were beautiful, 80°-ish. Water was doable, but not what I'd call warm.
When you were in T & C in Feb, what was the water temp & snorkeling like?

Come to Aruba and celebrate the second most beautiful Carnival in the Caribbean with the locals. Weather in february is great on the island with 85F temperatures. There are many activities on the island during the month of February, so wether you want to relax or just enjoy the local carnival I would be happy to say bon bini to Aruba...
