Best off shore snorkeling?
Love to snorkel.. have been to St John and just returned from Grand Cayman. Both were excellent.. would like to start planning next trip.. which island would be next in line for great snorkeling from the shore?
Thanks!
Thanks!

There is no contest, Bonaire. Somewhere around 80 shore locations, all marked and within a 10-15 minute drive north or south from town. During the week we were there, we hit about 20 different sites, not including going back to many for a second time. Virtually every resort has great snorkeling right off the beach.

Bonaire, absolutely. Just drive around the island, stop at the big yellow numbered rocks and jump in. Only time you'll need a boat is if you decide to go to the little island just offshore, the name escapes me, but there's a boat painted like a cow making the 5 minute trip.

We really enjoy St. John for beach snorkling. There's another thread on this board from a few days ago with very similar question & many answers...you might read that one for good thoughts as well. Trish
