Best Island to Visit in May

We've visited the Bahamas and Puerto Rico. Also Bermuda. We are not beach people. Our usual destinations are cities and have visited everywhere! Looking for a few days in the sun and wonder what island would have tourist sights other than beach entertainment.
Thanks

St. Lucia, Barbados, Jamaica, Grenada, Antigua.

Thank you Sharona - I will investigate each. We live in Boston and today is 40ish and raining. We need the sun!

I'm in Boston, too, so I understand!

I should have given a little more information above. Sorry.

St. Lucia has the "drive-in" volcano, a large rain forest and the Pitons.

Barbados has caves, beautiful rolling hills scenery and lots of history. Plus 2 major rum distilleries.

Jamaica has a few waterfalls, lazy rivers and lots of exploring opportunities.

Grenada is the world's 2nd largest nutmeg supplier and gorgeous rain forests. Beautiful scenery everywhere.

Antigua has Nelson's Dockyard, Shirley Heights, etc.

Of course there is a lot more to the above islands but that's a start.

Obviously the beach is the main attraction on most Caribbean islands ( for the most part) but there are some that are not know for their beaches ( e.g. Saba). Perhaps that is a good place to check out. While St. Martin has great beaches you could spend a few days exploring the island, visiting the towns ( Marigot and Phillipsburg) and eating some great French food ( on the French side of course). You can also take a ferry to St. Bart's or Anguilla for the day.

If you are into hiking and eco- tourism look at Dominica.

I second genio's St. Maarten recommendation. Check out L' Esplandae hotel in Grande Case. A unique boutique hotel within walking distance of wonderful restaurants. A catamaran excursion to Anguilla for the day and visiting Marigot brings back fond memories. The traveling time is minimal from Boston to SXM so you can enjoy the island on both your first and last day.

ST. Maarten is the winner. Thank you all for your input.

And what about St. Lucia.
