Best Island for tourquoise (see through) water?

I have been to St. Thomas and St. John. St. John was gorgeous. My husband and I and our 3yr old is looking for a place to go in May. We would like to know where we can find the most beautiful water/beach. We do like all inclusive, we don't care to much to venture out of the resort.
Thanks!

Some of the beaches on Turks and Caicos have about the clearest water I've seen. Grand Cayman is right up on top of the list as well.
You'll want to look for coral islands which are part of a group. They tend to have the lightest sand, no mud runoff from the island, and shallowest water, which is what creates the clear views.

Grand Cayman has that and is a short flight. However, don't expect to find much in the way of an AI.

Recently went to Grand Cayman and was just not that impressed with 7 mile beach. Yes, it was nice, but in my opinion Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos is much nicer. I also liked Eagle Beach in Aruba better than 7MB. There are a few AI's in T & C, Beaches, Allegro and Club Med.

I thought the water clarity at Grace Bay was fairly good - definitely better than places we've stayed in Aruba, Jamaica, St. Croix - but it still didn't measure up to St. John and St. Thomas.
