My favorite special occasion dinners would be
Waterloo House
Ascots
Fourways
Cambridge Beaches (on the beach)
Enjoy your trip, Bermuda is another world.

We celebrated my sister's and husband's 50th at the Waterloo House.

One in the dining room and the other on the terrace.

food and service are top notch.

Hi,
We just returned from Bermuda,
We are foodies as well so here are my reviews
Newport Room-By far the best formal food and service. The restaurant decor resembles a cruise ship9Formal),

Waterloo-Great romantic atmosphere set on the harbor, food was delicious as well.

Waterlot-Very nice steak house atmosphere.I do not know if you would choose this for your 4oth but the food was amazing and probably the best food on the Island.

Fourways Inn-atmosphere is lovely, service was very prof.We found this place to have an authentic charm. The food was very good.

Aqua-Trendy restaurant right on the ocean,This restaurant is more on the casual but upscale and the food was good but not great.

Coconuts at the Reefs-Ask to be served on the beach.Food and service to me were average but the atmosphere is great,

Horizons, both the atmosphere and the view are amazing, service was fair and the food was good but not great.

Also we had dinner on the beach at Cambridge Beaches. This was amazing, dinner for two on one of thier private beaches, ours was Turtle cove)food and service were very good but the atmosphere unbeatable, not sure if this can be booked if you arenot staying at the hotel.
The Tamarask room at Cambridge-this gets high ratings but we did not enjoy the restaurant for dinner, breakfast was very good.
Breezes at cambridge is very nice for casual dining for lunch or dinner, overlooks long bay, food and service are good,
Salt Rock-very casual dining with very good seafood. If you are staying in Sandy's Parish otherwise it would not be worth the trip
Enjoy Bermuda and take in as many beach or waterfront dining experiences possible.

I second Waterloo House and Horizons - both are excellent and both are Relais et Chateaux properties. Check out Restaurant Blu which is part of the Belmont Hills Golf Course: www.diningbermuda.com/blu
The food is very good and the views of Bermuda at sunset are unbelievable. There are pictures on the web site. Enjoy your trip.
