Best Beaches

Which islands have the bets beaches in the caribbean? I am looking for long, wide, white, powdery beaches.

I would appreciate any recommendations!

Felicia this question has been answered hundreds of times here.
Nothing wrong with asking, but you can find many, many opinions in the archives. Try typing something like 'best beach' or 'St. John beach' in the search box.

The naswer to your question is: there is no unanimous choice. There are over a thousand beaches in the Caribbean, and some people value things that others don't.

Most common favorites are: St. John, Anguilla, Bahamas outer islands, Aruba, Grand Cayman.

Anguilla, for example, has 33 beaches, many of them world class & spectacular. It really depends on what else you want from an island (Anguilla has great restaurants but no shopping or night life whatsoever). Check out http://beaches.ai for a closer look.

The best long caribbean beaches (at least 2 miles long) are:

NEGRIL, Jamaica;
7 Mile Beach, Grand Cayman;
Grand Anse, Grenada;
Palm/Eagle Beach, Aruba;
Grace Bay, Provo;
and the islands of Barbuda and Anegada.

St. John and Anguilla are worth mentioning since they have amazing beaches but not incredibly long.

Try Cuelebra's Flamingo Beach. Ferry access from Fajardo. Mile long stretch.

Or Magen's Bay St. Thomas. Mile long cove.

Both beaches have white sand and are not crowed.

St. Martin HIGHLY RECOMMEND!- so many beaches, so many different atmospheres! Clothes ... no clothes... you choose - restaurants and shops - or total suclsion..... you choose - sooooo very many beaches - each unique - when I was there - clean and ready! And all avail within a short drive on fun roads through THE friendliest island I've been to...Easier to communicate on the Dutch side, if you don't speak french or have their $$$- I was unable to purchase items with USD - Many people I met who did speak french loved it on that side Win- Win situation!! Best wishes!!
