Best Beach Near San Juan for a First-Date
Fellow Fodorites,
I need you help. I'm taking a guy to San Juan on Sat. for a first-date (lots of FF miles). He wants to spend the day at the beach. In your opinion, what's the best beach near SJU? We'll have a car and we'd like a beach that's well-groomed, rents chairs/cabanas/jet-skis, and has nearby bathroom facilities.
Any suggestions would greatly appreciated, as I'd like to make a good first-impression!

If you are going overnight, Loquillo is a great choice, If you are just going for a day, even Loquillo will involve too much time getting there. I'd stick with one of the beaches that are within 10 minutes from the airport -- Condado or Isla Verde.
By the way, in my opinion, flying to PR is too much for a first date. What can you do for an encore? The rest of the relationship is bound to be a letdown!
