best all-inclusive ina ruba
what is the best all-inclusive in aruba - ie. highest quality - for a family of all adults? no children.

we just got back from the hyatt and loved it and want to take our families back. we thought the allegro property on plam beach looked nice..anyone stayed there?

which other all-incluvies would you suggest?

The Allegro is fine. The Divi and Tam mega inclusive is also great.

GoTravel - have you ever stayed at the Tam? I haven't but I'm asking because it looks a bit run down from the outside and it gets mixed, so-so reviews. We love AI's but don't stay at one in Aruba. If I had to choose, based on what I've seen and heard, I would choose the Allegro.

No, I haven't stayed there but know people who have. The beach there is nicer than Palm Beach and I like (we visited friends there) the low rise feel.

About 5 years ago my now husband and I went to Aruba and stayed at the Divi which is right next door to the Tam. The two are similar as far as being low-rise, etc. but the beach in front of the divi is MUCH better and not as run-down looking. Its a nice resort, but I didn't care for the options for dinner. It was either their regular buffet style restaurant (which is the same place you eat breakfast and lunch) or their only 1 other a la carte restaurant which is only open a couple nights and only for dinner. If I were to go back to Aruba I would forego the AI and maybe try one of the resort types, such as the Radisson, etc. If you are really into staying at a high quality AI, no children,5 star food, 5 star service, beautiful caribbean water, I would HIGHLY recommend the Royal Hideaway Resort in Playa Del Carmen (Playacar) Mexico. I was there last year and it was PERFECT!

I personally don't think the beach is better in the Tam/Divi area. We've stayed at LaCabana on Eagle Beach and we've stayed on Palm Beach at the Marriott Ocean Club - I would pick the MOC and Palm Beach hands down based on the activities offered and the beach in general.

I stayed at the Allegro aug 2002 and it was terrific. price was right, casino was above average, italian restaurant was excellent, and overall service in resort was quick, and pleasant. Pool is very nice and the hotel's location puts you in the middle of palm beach, just a quick bus ride to oranjestaad. awesome time at allegro- but is it now called Occidental? the beach was nice- we enjoyed the amenities available- water activities and beach supplies. I cannot say enough good things about the resort. Oh, the breakfast is a buffet, and it is pretty loaded with good food. the lunch spot- papaya's - has an OK menu- rather limited, but when it turns into dinner, the menu improves tremendously. so save up belly room for dinner!!! have fun!
