Bernuda I can't wait

My husband and I are scheduled to leave for Bermuda 10/28/03 and really looking forward to this trip. I was very unsure about Bermuda due to the storm. We will be going by cruise. I would like to know some MUST DO'S & SEE and/or experience before leaving Bermuda. Searching for head-up's. Don't want to miss anything. There will be NO CHILDREN just the two of us. HELP!

O.K. I'll start this off. Gibbs Hill Light-Church Bay-all of the South Shore beaches-a ferry ride ( Bermuda's best bargain )-the Dockyard.

I really like St. George's and I would recommend that you take the bus out and walk around the quaint alleyways and shops. Stop at the Swizzle Inn for lunch on your way back.

My husband and I just got back from a cruise to Bermuda on the Nordic Empress, and had a trully wonderful time. Some of the things we did were: bus ride along the south shore to Horseshoe Bay Beach (it was beautiful dispite the natural arch not being there); visited the Royal Naval Dockyard and the Maritime Museum. (this is where the dolphin encounter is); kayaked in the Paradise Lakes (this was a wonderful experience and you don't have to have previous experience kayaking); visited the aquarium and zoo (not the greatest aquarium and zoo we had ever seen but still a nice trip and in a beautiful location, and Crystal Caves (that was well worth it!) My only regret was that we did not spend enough time in St. George, our ship did not dock there so we just took a cab ride (very expensive) to a few sites there and took some quick snapshots. Do take a trip to the beach there (can't think of the name now, it's near St. Catherine's fort). What great views and beautiful waters.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Glad you had a good time! Horseshore is a magnificent beach, (natural arches were never there, they were near the mid ocean club beach on the other end of the island)-south road -its many beaches is a great area to view from the road and sand. It is especially beautiful when the sun is shining on the boiler rocks in the water! Warwick Long Bay, Jobsons Cove, Chaplin Bay etc.

Oops, silly me! Guess I was mis-informed. Thanks, Penny.

Bermuda is a great place.
I was there for 4 nights. If you are
staying longer that a day, get a bus
pass. Easy to use and people are friendly
to help you out. Stop by Swizzle Inn
for food and a drink. Im sure you will
hear the usual crowd start singing.
Within walking distance of Swizzle Inn,
Is the Crystal cave and the perfume factory. A Must see.

Have fun :-)
