Bermuda: Recent Renovations?
 

Have any of the major hotels completed, or will soon, renovations, we are looking at Bermuda in early October<BR>Thanks!

Southampton Princess recenlty completed mafor renovations to all common area. Rooms are still being renovated. Pompano Beach Club has updated rooms as well.

My husband and I are also wanting to visit in early October. What will the temperature be? Will it be too cold to swim or to wear shorts? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.<BR><BR>I keep getting mixed reviews. Bermuda tourism says 75-85 degrees, however, my travel agents here says that it is the same temperature as North Carolina and is cold at that time.<BR><BR>

Susan:<BR><BR>My wife & I went to Bermuda in late Oct. of '98 on our honeymoon. We wore shorts the whole time (Gulf Stream, y'know). We swam in the pool but didn't go into the ocean - talked to those who did, said it was a bit cool but not bad.<BR><BR>Marti:<BR>As for renovations - I believe the Grotto Bay has finished their's.

The Reefs has completed many room and common room renovations, as well as a pool expansion (still small, but larger and one of those horizon pools.)
