Bermuda-Marriott Castle Harbour Resort

Anyone stayed at Castle Harbour Resort? Golfed there?

I understand you can get a week long pass for buses/ferries in Bermuda for about $32 a person. Is this feasible for getting around?

Especially looking for economical places to eat. Doesn't Bermuda have McDonald's, Burger King, etc for quick, inexpensive meals? Any other low cost suggestions?

Kim,

I have not stayed at the Marriott but have only heard good things about it. As for inexpensive food...I don't think this exists in Bermuda!! We opted for a cruise because dining costs were going to be astronomical! Bermuda does not have a McDonalds but it may have a KFC. Food chains are strongly discouraged on this island. For more info you may want to try the NetWeb Bermuda site (bulletin board). Many people there have visited Bermuda several times & may be able to give you more info. Also, try picking up Fodor's 97 for helpful dining tips. I, too, am visiting Bermuda in July. We decided on a cruise for the reasons I mentioned. Hope you have a wonderful time - I myself cannot wait to go!!! Mary
