Bermuda in October for 2 nights...where?

My husband and I have free tix to Bermuda in Oct. Wondering about weather this time of year? Also, any recs on a place to stay? It need not be lavish, just clean, quiet, and with beach access to a lovely beach. Also, do any Bermuda accommodations offer all-inclusive with meals? Sometimes it's just easier that way. Thanks.

What kind of budget are you looking at? Several of the larger resorts offer meal plans, and a few of them participate in a dine-around program, so you can eat at different places.
Do you mean you want a hotel on the beach? Because the great beaches here are public, so you could get less-expensive accomodations if you were willing to forgo beach-front.
The weather should be nice, you're going to get the occasional rainy day, but overall it will still be comfortable and sunny during the day and cooler at night. Maybe not swimming weather, depending on your idea of warm, but great for walking and relaxing on the beach. And tourist season will be winding down, so the crowds will be thinning out.

Not really sure of the budget...I know hotels there are quite expensive ($400-$500 a night) sans food, that's why I mentioned forgoing the lavish accommodations. As for the beach, I guess I don't want to have to drive anywhere...I just want to be able to roll out of bed and go the pool/beach. Any input on location even would be great. We don't have much time there so it's just a bit of a getaway without the kids to reconnect....

Look at Fairmont Southampton, Elbow Beach and The Reefs (NOT Coco Reef), that's a good starting point. Basically it sounds like you want to stick to a South Shore location. If those prices are out of your range, let us know and we'll come up with some other options.

We like The Reefs. It is beachfront. I am not sure if they will still have some construction going on, but it is a beautiful resort, great for adults and good food. You can get a breakfast and dinner plan. I think it will run in the mid 500s with food included. No drinks.
There is no driving in Bermuda except by Moped. (no rental cars I mean). You can taxi places or take the bus (cheap and convenient).
Another place to check is the Fairmont Southampton. Beautiful large resort that sits high on the hill. (beach is at the bottom with a shuttle up and down). It has been running great deals on their rooms. We are going in June because of their great rates.
We went to Bermuda in October a few years ago and had wonderful weather. The ocean is still very warm and the days were warm and sunny while we were there. So, I wish you good weather and have fun choosing.
Other hotel options to consider:Cambridge beaches, Pompano, Elbow beach (fancier), Coco reefs.

consider this as well, it is a budget option with a high degree of privacy.
