Bermuda Hotels
Hello
We will be travelling to Bermuda this summer with our 2 kids aged 12 and 15. We are looking for hotel suggestions. We have looked at Cambridge Beaches, The Reefs, Elbow Beach Resort and Tucker's Point. My husband is against anything "old" or that looks run down. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Reefs and Tucker's Point would be your best bet. Cambridge Beaches is a gorgeous old Bermuda property, not rundown ,but a classic and probably not what your husband wants plus it is the least likely to have kids visiting. A good portion of Elbow Beach is closed and to me that is a bit iff putting. I think the Reefs would be the most desirable choice given your list. have a wonderful time, Bermuda is another world.

Ditto cmcfong's suggestions, and thought it's worth mentioning that Tucker's Point's beach is NOT adjacent to the hotel property, but rather a shuttle ride away. The Reefs has it's own private beach, plus it is much better situated to enjoy the rest of the South Shore beaches. It's on a much more convenient bus line to town, too.

I agree the Reefs would be a good choice. You might also want to look at the Fairmont Southampton hotel. It is right next to the Reefs. The hotel sits up on a hill and you must either walk down the big hill or shuttle down to the beach below.
I know the Reefs have just redone their hotel, but we usually had the only kids there. The Fairmont had more families and more family amenities on property. I love the Reefs and think it is really nice and you just walk out to the beach, but with kids, the Fairmont Southampton property was better for us. The last time we went, our kids were younger teenagers, (about 5 years ago)
