Bermuda ferries
Have not been to Bermuda for 20 years and are going this summer - I loved the ease of using public bus, but I keep hearing about some sort of ferry system that can be included on a bus/ferry pass. Don't remember these - are they just part of the regular transportation system and useful for going longer distances? Thanks.

Gail, the ferries run between Hamilton and Dokyards, with stops at Darrells, Salt Kettle, Belmont, and some of the small islands in the harbor. During summer they add a ferry run to St. George. The ferry is easily the most scenic and pleasant way to travel around Bermuda. Passes can be purchased at the Transportation terminal on Queen St. I go to BDA annually and one of the highlights of my trips is the ferry rides.

Can you take the new ferry from St. George directly to the Dockyard? We haven't been back since they started and am looking forward to them, except...there is no ferry landing at the Swizzle Inn....lol

The ferry system is a great way to see Bermuda. As I recall, if you have a bus pass, you can ride the ferry. Even when we rented a scooter, we used the ferry to go to Hamilton from Somerset.

I am pretty sure the ferry runs from St. George to Dockyard. Note that the service is only summer service. Try www.bermudatourism.com for information
