Can you comment, please, on the off-beach snorkeling in Bermuda as compared to the Caribbean? I assume it's not terrific or the island would appear on the various posts asking about best snorkeling spots. But could it be called "good"? Are there many places where one can step off the beach and find good reefs and plenty of sea life? What are the months in Bermuda when the water temps would be similar to Caribbean water temps, i.e. 80's? Thanks!

Just saw your note on another post about Church Bay in Bermuda. I'm hoping that you or others can compare Chruch Bay snorkeling with the snorkeling at Caneel or Virgin Gorda, e.g. I'd also like to know whether there's plenty of other snorkeling all around the island or whether it's all concentrated in that one Bay.
Thank you.

Bermuda has been overfished and consequently there is not the great snorkle opps you find on other islands. Church Bay and Tobacco Bay are my favorite beach snorkle sites. However Bermuda offers some excellent boat snorkle opps because of the large number of wrecks. Snorkling over the Constellation (you may remember that from the Deep) is quite wonderful.
