Bermuda
I just booked at trip to Bermuda for my Anniversary and we are staying at Elbow Beach Hotel. I was so excited until..... I started reading reviews on Trip advisor. Can anyone ease my mind???? I can upgrade to the Rosewood for $1000 is it worth it???
Best transportation from the airport is taxi? Can we take a ferry?

"Worth it" depends on what you want out of your trip. The main building of EB was closed 'for upgrades' a couple of years ago. By the reviews on Tripadvisor, it doesn't look like any progress has been made. The property in use is essentially cottages scattered over the hillside overlooking the beach. Lots of walking.
The Rosewood (Tuckers Point) is more isolated, and the beach is not on the property, but transportation is provided. The property is gorgeous. I don't think you're going to get the cruise ship day-trippers there.
I have been to both properties, eaten at their restaurants and enjoyed their beaches and beach service. Personally, I'd switch.
As far as transport, taxis - no need to pre-book from the airport. The ferry runs between Hamilton and Dockyard, and between Dockyard and St Georges, as well as along the inside of the Great Sound, but not along South Shore.

We tried to eat at Tuckers Point but they would only serve guests and this was the casual restaurant by the beach (which is away from the main building). We took a look around and it certainly is stunning. It's very close to the airport. We ate at EB too, location is more central and it is on a beautiful beach. Tuckers Point is definitely a notch up but I think the location of EB is better (if you want to be closer to other places).
