Beaches resort with a family of 5

What is the most economical way to book a room at Beaches resort. I have 3 children, ages 4,10, 13. When I look up the rates, it quotes a price of $385. per person per day for a standard room. Then $140 for each add'l. adult, and $80. per child. How does the average family afford this? Please advise.

One word "NOT". You could rent a very nice villa in Aruba for half of that cost and still have enough money left over to eat out every night. I think these places are overpriced and you don't get your money's worth. I have tried them all and found that nothing beats a good travel agent who has experienced it for themselves. If you need a referral, drop me a line.

If you are interested in staying all-inclusive, have you looked into the Allegro? I just booked there for the last week of June and paid $700 EACH less for my husband, daughter and I to stay there as opposed to Beaches. I've spent the past 3 weeks reading everything I can get my hands on re: Turks and the Allegro and I believe we got a good deal and expect it to be a great vacation. E-mail me if you would like $$ specifics that you can use as a guideline. Linda :0)

I got a price quote for my family of 5 last year for Beach - $7,000 plus. A big "not" for my family vacation budget. This is outrageous. Got same kind of quote from Atlantis because we need 2 rooms for 5. Go to website called vacationkids.com. They have a list of resorts that can accommodate a family of 5 in one room. Then check out one of the resorts on that list. Most of the resorts will put you in the $4000 to $5000 range, with Dominican Republic being the cheapest. Good Luck.

My sister is going in May for $4200 for three - lowest category.

If you are set on Beaches, look on the web. Type in Beaches or better yet "Sandals" under keyword or search and you sould get tons of sites that will offer prices lower then a traditional travel agent or booking direct. We go to Sandals often and have saved a bundle.
