Beaches Negril

Hi. I am planning to go to Beaches Negril and wondering if anyone has been there... If you have please can you comment on the place and the service? Also, I think I heard some horrible things about the transfer from the MoBay airport to the hotel... Is the inter island airplane worth the money or should I just brave the 2 hr ride?

Great Resort, food is good and the beach is wonderful, staff very friendly. The ride from the airport is long about 2 hours. It is a great way to see the island and meet people on the way in.

The bus ride from Mo Bay to Negril was approx. 2 hours long. It was in no way enjoyable after an already long day. The extremely poor condition of the coast road far outweighed any enjoyment that may have been had from seeing the country. Others that we met who were on the mountain road, did not offer any better reports. I wish we had heeded the advice to fly.

I have to say the poster xxx is not having very pleasent travels. Looks like you need to stay home.

We've never taken the bus, only private taxi. I love the ride, I won't fly because I love the ride so much. I do prefer the mountain route but the coast rd was under 2 hours with a nice long stop last trip.

Maybe on a bus it's less fun.

:) Liz

Wow Cherie! I usually don't bother getting involved with these little squabbles, but what prompted that rude comment??
I simply posted my opinion in response to an asked question. No one we met at our resort enjoyed their bus ride via either road. Perhaps some people do. As Ohliz kindly pointed out, she does enjoy the ride via taxi. I'm sure others may share her view. Please have the courtesy to remain civil.
