Beaches near Isla Verde
 

A friend of ours has offered to lend us his condo in Isla Verde and before we accept, I would love to know if there are any great beaches we can go to nearby. Unfortunately, he does not have too many recommendations as he likes to go for the nightlife and casinos, not the daytime activities. I have been to PR before and have stayed at the Hyatt Dorado Beach and Caribe Hilton so I have mostly used their beaches. I had also gone to Luquillo but it was very crowded. Looking for something less crowded, safe and fairly easy to get to from Isla Verde. We would be renting a car. Thank you for any recommendations.

Nothing wrong with the beach at Isla Verde. Pinones is very close by and looks nice, although I have heard that you should be careful in deserted areas there.

if the condo is close to the major hotels in Isla Verde (El San Juan, Ritz Carlton) you have two fairly long stretches of beaches that are adequate.

I was a little confused about this one. Like the previous poster, I was going to say - why not just go to the beach at Isla Verde. I have a feeling, though, that the poster may be looking for a more secluded, less developed beach.

I know about the beach in Isla Verde. I was hoping there was something more tropical/natural nearby without all the large buildings in the background.
