Beach Comparison - Eagle and Palm

We visited for the first time on a cruise recently and went to the Radisson and the beach there (Palm) - we loved it as although it was windy, you did not get pelted with sand.

I've heard Bucuti resort is nice & Eagle Beach is great also. Can anyone tell me about the wind/sand factor in this area.

Also, if you visited only for 3 nights, which resort would you select and why. We also enjoy nice pools.

Any idea of what the water temperature is in February compared to when we visited in May?

Thanks for all your help for a newbie to Aruba.

palm beach is action packed with all types of beach bars, water sports and is home to the high rise resorts, the water is a beautiful turq. color, very calm, warm like bath water but murky.
Eagle beach is more laid back, also water sports & is home to the low rise, time share resorts, the water is also very calm & water is clearer than Palm beach.
I prefer a stay at the Hyatt resort on Palm beach, Radisson is also very nice.

Palm Beach for location, location. There are restaurants, bars, shopping all there. I just came back from Aruba and we had some very still days -- no wind. I think the Radisson and the Hyatt are very good choices in terms of service and amenities. Marriott has more space but it's away from the action.

I agree with bosoco. I stayed at the Radisson twice and expect to go back again next January. I love their ambience - low key, yet elegant. The location is great because there are lots of restaurants within walking distance or a short cab ride. I also like to walk on the beach. Since the Radisson is sort of in the middle, I can alternate my walk each day - walking up to the Marriott or down past the Wyndham. I never felt that wind was a factor - but a mild breeze was nice.

I prefer Eagle because it's quieter. Eagle would normally not have less wind than Palm - possibly a bit more.
