Barefoot Man Reservations

How early should one make reservations to see the Barefoot Man perform?

thanks

I drank some Kalik down with him at the bar at Guana Seaside Village on Great Guana Cay this past summer. Where are you planning to see him perform? I like his tunes: "Layin' Low In Abaco," "At Nippers," "Conch'd Out At The Conch Inn," and "I've Got Abaco." I heard he was going to play at Nippers on this little cay. If you catch him playing at remote places like Nippers, I don't think the reservations even have to be made. You can sit on the beach below and listen to him. Robert

I think he means at Barefoots regular home at The Reef... not his vacation haunt in the Abacos :)

Email [email protected] to avoid disappointment, he often sells out, particularly in the winter

Thank you, Tom.

I did write the Reef Resort, but wrote the concierge desk, as I couldn't figure out who else I would write. I phoned the number that was listed on the Reef site, it rang and rang, then went silent, so I gave up and wrote!

We will be in Grand Cayman April 15-27th [staying somewhat near the Reef Resort] and hope to catch the Barefoot Man while there. Last year, we had hoped to see him as part of our anniversary celebration, only to find out he wasn't performing that Tuesday night at the Reef. We were disappointed.

Our entire little clan will be there this year, and we do want the kids [grown adult, but still kids to us] to be able to enjoy him with us.

We bought a Barefoot Man cd while in Grand Cayman after hearing his Rum Cake song on the radio, and loved it.

Since you are there, and are the 'man in the know...' what do you suggest for our trip? Just wait to hear from the concierge?

Thank you so much...

Sorry Karen, I have yet to get my staff to work 24 hours a day, but I guess we must have a bug on the voicemail... I'll fix it.

Anyway, I see you did get an email back from our concierge before 10am this morning, hopefully she has helped you out.

She did, and rather than miss the show again, I plan to go ahead, write her back and make those reservations.

It was a wonderful, quick, reply.
Tom, the number I called was the information number, not the concierge number. I only mention it as I was afraid there may be something wrong with your phone system, and wanted to make someone aware of it. When it just stopped ringing and went to 'nothingness', I thought someone there should know.

Thank you again for the info. You are a great source of info.

Karen

Tom, if we arrive Sat, the 14th of Feb, what do you think our chances are of getting reservation during that week? Aslo, I'm assuming it would be fun for an 11 yr. old.

I would prefer to make a reservation upon arrival. We just like to hang out and play it by ear.

meta, we should be able to squeeze you in on either Tue or Thu for the show... call when you get to Cayman... yes, should be ok for an 11 year old....

Thanks, Tom.
