Barbados or St. John for a honeymoon?
Would you recommend us going to St. John or Barbados for our honeymoon? We've never been to the Caribbean, so we're clueless!! Our travel agent recommends both of these places and found us some good deals, so now we just need to choose. Thanks!!

Give some info on what your looking for in a resort. Do you have a budget? Different islands offer different amenities and costs vary widely, depending on what they are. I have found that travel agents will steer you to places that offer them the biggest commission. Your best agent is you and your computer.

Bud,<BR>Any agent who steers clients a product only for the commission is a fool.<BR>Most agents question their clients for likes and dislikes. I personally sell the Lowest Rate that meets the Clients requirements.<BR>It is called value for dollar.<BR>Both St. John and Barbados are great islands. Barbados is very British and food an shopping tends to be expensive.<BR>St. John is 2/3 National Park, with excellent cove beaches for swimming and snorkeling. The 2 main hotels are Caneel Bay and the Westin.<BR>St.John is more quiet and laid back with fewer hotels.

I have not been to St. John, but I've heard it's lovely. I've been to Barbados a lot & really love it. Barbados is much larger -- 166 sq. miles, so more to explore. However, a lot depends on when your honeymoon will be to be sure the weather is good -- when are you considering going???
