Seeing too many ordinary and big brands in big booking sites, we try to dig out some local agencies. We found this 'Direct Car Rental'.
After a few emails, we feel it isn't too untrustable. Replies are quick. Details are clear. We decided to try
Oh, another main reason is that it's 1/3 cheaper than all big brand car rentals :)
Upon arrival, as promised, we see a sign with our names beside arrival exit. We are happy. Wayne carries a standard suitcase with everything necessary inside.
After he processed our credit card with a wireless ATM, he leaded us to a pick up lane and ask us to wait for him.
[-1] Seeing over 50 tourist group getting their cars happily, our emotions start falling
[-1] After half an hour, Wayne brings us a fully scratched, old car with alignment off (discovered after the first minute of driving)
[+1] discovered later that old tech has an advantage. the poor car key made up of a piece of metal and a piece of plastic allows us to take it underwater. Problem of "not knowing where to put the car key" solved.
[+1] Barbados has many unmaintained roads from west to east coast. A fully scratched car can ease your mind of scratching the car accidentally.
