Bahamas VAT refund
 

With the new VAT in the Bahamas, I thought they'd make it easier for visitors to get a refund. Nope! Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the VAT back after the trip is over? There was exactly one tiny box at the airport in Nassau. No forms, no info, nothing else.
I guess it's no wonder the government now has money for better infrastructure.

What are you trying to get the refund on? It is not refundable on hotels, meals, anything like that. As I understand it many merchants will refund the VAT on export purchases at the time of sale.

I haven't been since the VAT was introduced, but didn't the merchant give you VAT forms (if they didn't already deduct the VAT)
