Looking to go for a long weekend in feb....mostly just to relax, have a few drinks by the beach...we are flying out of Philadelphia and I would like a trip that I do not need a plane/bus/boat to get to..(I don't want to spend alot of time trying to get somewhere if we only plan to go for a long weekend) I really do not want to go to paradise island...any suggestions?!?! plkease help!!

For a short vacation, you may want to try one of the cays off of Abaco Island, an out island in the Bahamas. You would have to take a 15 minute ferry ride from the Conch Inn docks to get there, upon arriving in Marsh Harbor, Abaco's capitol. You could stay on Guana Cay, preferably at the Dolphin Beach Resort or at Guana Seaside Village. Both are pretty isolated and you'd be alone on the beach, which is 6 miles long for Dolphin Beach (Atlantic side). If you took off in the a.m., you'd land in Marsh Harbor by 1 p.m., and be on Guana at around 2 p.m. same day. Let me know if you want further details. Robert
