bahamas in february

Thinking of long island in bahamas for february. Too unpredictable weather wise? water temps, do you really need a wet suit for snorkeling? we have been to keys snorkeling in winter and did not use one>

The waters in great Exuma that is not far from Lomg Island is chilly-75-78 degrees. If there is a cold snap the ambient highs might only be in the mid-70's and nights in the mid 60's.

I've been to the Bahamas in February and it was too cool to enjoy sitting on the beach let alone going in the water. We did enjoy sitting around the pool since there wasn't as strong a breeze there. Water temps were just too chilly to enjoy.
