My husband and I are trying to decide which Sandals to go to. We have narrowed it down to Antigua and St. Lucia. What did you think of each? Which did yo like better?

We are going to Sandals St. Lucia in December for our honeymoon.. How was the resort, the people, the food, etc..
What kind of room did you have and any suggestions on what not to miss or what to watch out for?

You will love Sandals St. Lucia. We spent our honeymoon there and enjoyed every minute in the resort. The roads were not the best (narrow and curvy) and you will enjoy just staying in the resort.

As to rooms, go for the suite. If you call Sandals, you get a discount per couple. The discount is greater for a suite room (700+ per couple vs. 400+ per couple) so you won't spend much more at all if you get a suite. A suite in St. Lucia means that you get consierge service which is much more responsive than normal. Have a great time.

I would really appreciate some info on Antigua. We're going in mid-January, any and all helpful hints you can give would be great! - How were the accomodations, food, off-resort excursions, etc. We're meeting another couple who who will be getting married on site - We've been to Sandals/Montego Bay but no other Sandals/Islands. Thanks!

We went to Antigua last summer, and although we didn't stay at Sandals, I can offer some advice on off-resort things to do.
The BEST thing to do on Antigua is the party at Shirley Heights on Sunday evening! Eat before you go, as the food is overpriced, but the beer and rum punch are great, the view of the sunset is spectacular, and the live steel drum and reggae music is excellent! That was truly one of the highlights of our trip!
Other fun things include: Wadadli or Kokomo Cats snorkeling tours, Bo Tours jeep tour of the island (highly recommended- they do the driving and they don't get lost!), and Tony's Boat trip to Bird Island. SKIP the horseback riding! (Trust me on the last one!)
Have a great trip-
Christie

My fiance and I just booked a weeks stay at Sandals St. lucia Spa Resort. We chose a premium room due to the fact we will be extending our honeymoon at WDW. Have you seen these accomodations? Also, friends just came back and said they had an awful experience. Food was not great and too much partying on the behalf of other resort guests.
