Babymoon in Bermuda

Any good recommendations for 5 days in beginning of October in Bermuda? I need rest/pampering/relaxation and DH wants some activities, i.e. biking, hiking, etc. Love a cottage on the beach. Thanks.

You may want to repost leaving out the 'babymoon' bit. That moniker is not necessarily well regarded on here. Just a heads up...

Wow, that was rather harsh. I wish I could recommend a place for you. As a mother of two I can relate. Obviously the other poster cant.

Corkee,
What is your budget? The Reefs might work for you or one of the beach front cottages at Elbow Beach.

Biking & hiking aren't the first activities that come to mind when thinking of Bermuda. Would your DH enjoy water activities such as snorkelling, jet-ski, deep sea fishing, etc.? He could hike / walk the rail trail. You can also bike a portion of the rail trail.

A "bike" in Bermuda is usually considered a moped / scooter. With that being said, my DH rents a pedal bike every year when we visit and he bikes all over the island (the locals think he is crazy). The island is very hilly and the roads quite narrow, so caution is needed.

Best wishes on your pregnancy, corkee.

If you can give us your budget range, I think there are some good options for Bermuda. Pompano Beach Club has easy access to the Bermuda Railway Trail where I walk or bike regularly when in Bermuda. I would not be comfortable on the roads on a pedal bike, but I do love my moped to get around. Pompano is convenient to bus and ferry service, a spa on site, offers great fall discounts and has meal plans.

Another option would be the Ocean Winds Bed and Breakfast

If you prefer to rent a small house or apartment, consider www.bermudarentals.com and www.bermudagetaway.com

One of my favorite places to stay is Fourways Cottages. It isn't on the beach so if that is an important criteria, it wouldn't work. One of its great advantages is its price point.

Have a wonderful time and celebrate!

Budget isn't an issue really, we're flying with miles and planning to spend money on accommodations. I was just looking at Elbow and it looks dreamy. Thanks all!

the cottages at Elbow are really lovely and the position is perfect for enjoying sunrise over the ocean. Be aware there is some work going on at the main hotel, though.
Enjoy your holiday.

Corkee- Elbow is situated on a HILL - if you're anything like I was while pregnant, all the walking up and down can be exhausting. Something to think about.
